Who We Are
MAS Youth Charlotte is a youth and community program of the Muslim American Society, serving young Muslims across the greater Charlotte area.
We exist to help the next generation build a strong, confident Muslim identity — through weekly gatherings, Qur’an learning, real community service, and friendships that last well beyond any single event.
Everything we do is youth-centered and community-powered: led by young people, supported by mentors, and open to everyone.
Our growth
Youth at our Friday Night Halaqa — grown over seven years, and still growing.
Our Story
It started small — a handful of youth, a weekly halaqa, and a simple idea: give young Muslims in Charlotte a place to belong.
Seven years later, that circle of 15 has grown past 100, and the halaqa is just the beginning. Today MAS Youth runs a Youth Pantry with Islamic Relief, twice-weekly Qur’an classes, support for new Muslims, and a judgement-free space to ask the questions that matter.
The mission hasn’t changed: build the next generation of Muslims in Charlotte — grounded in faith, active in service, and there for one another.
